Catalyx Space, Inc. has raised 5.4 million dollars in a seed funding round led by Outlander VC. The startup specializes in space infrastructure solutions that support scheduled orbital logistics operations, including upmass and downmass for microgravity manufacturing and research. This investment follows a 1.7 million dollar pre-seed round in January, which enabled the company's first successful capsule drop test after six months of development.
The seed funds will be allocated to commercializing Catalyx Space's advanced reentry architecture, expanding international operations, and growing the customer base worldwide. Other investors include Arka Venture Labs, Lex Reddy, KDX Management LLC, Together Fund, Higher Life Ventures, Nivesha Ventures, Prana Tech Ventures, Bria, HF0 Residency, and Techstars.
Outlander VC managing partner Paige Craig commented, "Catalyx is making orbit as accessible and programmable as the cloud, and that shift will unleash entirely new industries. We are proud to back a team building the backbone of this transformation."

Catalyx Space was founded by Rifath Shaarook, Clinton Anthony, Keerthan Chand, and Saqib Hussin. Shaarook launched the company in 2024 to address infrastructural bottlenecks in the sector, having previously made headlines for designing and launching the world's lightest satellite using 3D-printed engineering.

Catalyx Space aims to offer an integrated solution that meets growing market demand for next-generation orbital applications.
