Muon Space, a leader in mission-specific low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations, has secured the second stage of its contract with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) under the Strategic Commercial Enhancements (SCE) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Framework. This Stage II contract, part of the NRO's commercial electro-optical (EO) capabilities focus area, aims to validate the on-orbit performance of Muon's multispectral electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) technologies, advancing the company's critical role in national security.

The Stage II award will focus on demonstrating end-to-end EO/IR capabilities, including continued testing and evaluation by the NRO. This phase aims to enhance the national security potential of global, high-frequency data for persistent situational awareness, supporting real-time insights into global thermal activity and mission-critical intelligence.
