Globalstar, Inc. (Nasdaq: GSAT) has inaugurated a cutting-edge Satellite Operations Control Center (SOCC) at its Covington, Louisiana headquarters on March 17, marking a major upgrade in its operational infrastructure and a step forward in its strategy to enhance satellite and connectivity services.

Prominent officials, including House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, joined the celebration, which highlighted Louisiana's cultural vibrancy with live music and regional cuisine, making the occasion both festive and locally rooted.

"We are grateful to Leader Scalise and Chairman Carr for celebrating this significant milestone with Globalstar," said Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, Globalstar CEO. "This expansion underscores Globalstar's mission to deliver innovation and industry leading solutions, as well as our commitment to the state of Louisiana, the local workforce and regional economy."

The new SOCC will play a vital role in optimizing satellite fleet oversight, enhancing network efficiency, and supporting future satellite deployments. This facility represents a strategic investment aimed at strengthening Globalstar's role in the international satellite communications market.

Since establishing its headquarters in Covington in 2010, Globalstar has remained a key contributor to local innovation. With over 60 percent of its workforce based in the area, the company plans to add 75 new positions in Louisiana by year-end, further deepening its regional ties.
