Maxar Space Systems, a leader in satellite manufacturing and space technology solutions, has delivered the first of 16 spacecraft buses to L3Harris Technologies [NYSE: LHX] in support of the Space Development Agency (SDA)'s Tranche 1 Tracking Layer program. The spacecraft bus, built on the Maxar 300 platform, was designed to advance the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). Manufactured at Maxar's state-of-the-art facilities in California, the bus was shipped to Florida, where L3Harris will conduct Space Vehicle integration and testing before final delivery and launch.

The Tranche 1 Tracking Layer satellites will enhance SDA's ability to provide continuous global monitoring for early detection, warning, and tracking of advanced missile threats, including hypersonic weapons. Maxar Space Systems is also producing an additional 18 spacecraft buses for L3Harris as part of the SDA's Tranche 2 Tracking Layer program. The manufacturing of these buses underscores Maxar's capacity to develop and deliver large-scale, low-Earth orbit (LEO) constellations while maintaining high production efficiency and meeting critical mission objectives.

This milestone delivery demonstrates Maxar Space Systems' commitment to excellence and our ability to deliver reliable, mission-critical solutions for our customers, said Chris Johnson, CEO of Maxar Space Systems. Successfully delivering this first spacecraft bus underscores the expertise of our team and the trust our partners place in us to help strengthen national security.
