Satellogic and Telespazio Brasil have signed a multi-year contract with the Brazilian Air Force (Forca Aerea Brasileira, FAB) to provide low-latency satellite imagery for defense and security applications. The agreement, which includes an initial one-year term with an option for a one-year extension, highlights Satellogic's growing role in delivering real-time geospatial intelligence to military clients.
FAB will utilize Satellogic's NewSat constellation to rapidly obtain sub-meter resolution imagery, allowing for near real-time monitoring, change detection, and enhanced situational awareness. The agreement also provides FAB with access to Satellogic's Aleph platform, a self-service interface that enables users to schedule and manage their own imagery requests. This capability ensures that FAB can quickly adapt to evolving operational requirements and enhance decision-making in mission-critical scenarios.
"This agreement represents a significant milestone in strengthening our aerospace operations, granting the Brazilian Air Force access to high-resolution imagery in near real-time. With these advanced capabilities, we will be able to make faster and more effective decisions, ensuring the security of our territory and contributing to technological innovation in the defense sector," stated Gen. Nogueira, Commander of the Air and Space Operations.
Mark Carmichael, Satellogic's Vice President of Imagery and Data, emphasized the transformative nature of the agreement. "By equipping FAB with immediate, on-demand access to high-resolution imagery, we are setting a new standard for operational responsiveness and strategic foresight in the defense sector.
"By providing FAB with the Aleph platform, we're delivering more than incremental improvements-this self-service approach is a transformative advancement that allows governments and organizations to take direct control of their geospatial intelligence. The result is more decisive actions, stronger security outcomes, and ultimately, a more resilient global defense landscape."
Marzio Laurenti, CEO of Telespazio Brasil, reinforced the strategic value of the collaboration. "This agreement reinforces the position of Telespazio Brasil as a premier provider of geospatial services and solutions to the Brazilian Defense. The partnership with Satellogic further expands our suite of offerings, ensuring our customers benefit from cutting-edge Earth observation technologies and innovative data delivery models."
The partnership strengthens Satellogic and Telespazio Brasil's presence in the defense sector, demonstrating their ability to provide real-time, mission-critical insights to government and military clients. By leveraging advanced satellite technologies, FAB will enhance its monitoring capabilities and operational efficiency in safeguarding Brazilian airspace and territorial integrity.
