Oracle is leveraging Starlink's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network to deliver enhanced high-speed connectivity for its Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP). This collaboration empowers Oracle customers to seamlessly connect from virtually any location - including remote and underserved areas - while accessing features such as real-time video and audio streaming for industry applications.

"Starlink provides reliable high-speed connectivity for those in areas where it has been historically difficult due to lack of infrastructure or natural obstacles," said Jason Fritch, SpaceX's Vice President of Starlink Enterprise Sales. "Providing fast and secure broadband to all corners of the world will help Oracle expand the reach of cloud technology and real-time information for its customers in invaluable ways."

Oracle's ECP integrates fixed, mobile, and Starlink networks to deliver secure cloud applications even in remote regions. With Starlink's network now part of Oracle ECP, customers spanning over 100 countries and territories can benefit from satellite-enabled connectivity that bolsters application reliability and performance.

Comprehensive global connectivity

Oracle ECP, built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's robust performance and security, ensures real-time data delivery for connected devices, IoT endpoints, and mobile apps. The platform also includes monitoring capabilities to safeguard against misuse or failures. Through the Oracle Cloud Connector edge component, the platform can manage video and audio applications remotely, addressing diverse industry needs. Its redundant backhaul connectivity ensures Oracle applications remain operational even during primary network outages.

Industries such as healthcare, utilities, construction, and public safety stand to benefit significantly from this collaboration. For example, hospitals can use Starlink and Oracle ECP to connect rural clinics and urban hospitals with Oracle's clinical applications. Similarly, public safety agencies can ensure first responders remain connected and secure, even in areas lacking traditional mobile coverage.

"By adding Starlink's proven performance and expansive network to our established network relationships, we're powering ubiquitous IoT connectivity, safeguarding mission-critical operations, and protecting data integrity during emergencies," said Andrew Morawski, executive vice president and general manager, Oracle Communications. "Together, we're creating the intelligent communications foundation that will accelerate business transformation across industries around the world."
