RoboForce, a pioneering provider of robotic labor solutions, has announced the completion of $10 million in early-stage funding. Supported by prominent investors such as Nobel Laureate Myron Scholes, Softbank VC co-founder Gary Rieschel, and Carnegie Mellon University, the funding marks a significant milestone for the company.
With this backing, RoboForce is set to emerge from stealth mode and deploy its innovative Robo-Labor technology. Designed to address labor shortages in hazardous and challenging environments, the robotic workforce offers 1mm precision in tasks such as picking, placing, pressing, twisting, and connecting. Its advanced capabilities include all-terrain mobility, precise manipulation, machine learning, communication, and compliance with safety standards. According to RoboForce, its systems deliver unparalleled performance in the AI robotics sector.
RoboForce's applications span various industries, including solar energy, space exploration, manufacturing, and mining. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has identified these sectors as particularly vulnerable to labor shortages due to injuries and unsafe working conditions. RoboForce's initial focus is on large-scale solar projects, where extreme temperatures and remote locations present challenges for human labor. By deploying robotic solutions, the company aims to enhance project efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate the completion of critical renewable energy initiatives.
"At RoboForce, our mission is to create robotics for humanity to boost the world's economy with the power of Robo-Labor. We are building the most advanced Robo-Labor system to take on the most tedious, physically demanding, and dangerous jobs that humans shouldn't have to do. We are dedicated to creating the leading high-intelligence 'super worker' system to redefine the future of industrial labor, making it safer, efficient, and more sustainable," said Leo Ma, founder and CEO of RoboForce.
Nobel Laureate Myron Scholes, one of the company's key investors, commented on RoboForce's potential, stating, "Labor shortages and decarbonization are the two largest trends that are happening at a global scale, and RoboForce is uniquely positioned to address both. RoboForce has a great team working on innovations very valuable for the world."
RoboForce will showcase its groundbreaking technology at the Intersolar and Energy Storage Conference in San Diego, California, from February 25-27.
