Multinational technology leader GMV has been awarded the contract from Spain's Department of National Security (DSN) to launch the first phase of the National Security System (SSN) Data Intelligence Platform. This GMV-led initiative, inaugurated with a kickoff meeting on September 13, represents a key development in enhancing Spain's critical infrastructure, with plans to elevate the operational strength of the SSN by designing, developing, and deploying an advanced information management system.

The GMV solution features a modular, microservices-based platform, crafted for scalability, reliability, and maintenance ease. This design will empower the SSN to oversee the entire lifecycle of data - covering secure data capture, storage, complex analytics, and the derivation of key National Security indicators. The platform is also set to integrate advanced data visualization capabilities, enabling predictive analytics and crisis simulation to support decision-making.

GMV's approach leverages cutting-edge big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within a highly automated, containerized infrastructure. Emphasizing security, the platform architecture adopts rigorous "Zero Trust" and "defense-in-depth" principles to meet national security standards. The system will enhance data processing capabilities, enabling the SSN to rapidly detect and counteract potential threats while optimizing crisis response. Expected to wrap up in November 2025, this first phase aligns with GMV's strategic objectives to pioneer decision-intelligence solutions that support complex, data-driven operations.

"We're very excited to launch this project, which represents a significant breakthrough in the digitalization of the country's critical infrastructure, an area in which GMV has over three decades of expertise," said Jose Prieto, director of business development and institutional relations for GMV's Defense division. "We're proud to lead this transformation for the Department of National Security, bringing our most advanced big data and artificial intelligence technology solutions, and we're convinced that the platform developed will strengthen the operational capacity of the National Security System, improving strategic decision making through efficient real-time data management. Our work with the DSN reflects GMV's firm commitment to Spain's security and defense, which are key to our company's ongoing growth and development."

This project further establishes GMV's position as a leader in the digital transformation of national defense and security systems. By supporting the Department of National Security with advanced, dependable solutions, GMV underscores its dedication to innovation and operational excellence in the realm of global security technologies.
