Advacam, a provider of advanced radiation detectors for mapping radiation aboard the International Space Station (ISS), and Vector Space Biosciences (crypto symbol: SBIO), a company specializing in AI models for space industry data, have entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) to collaborate on developing satellite payloads and CubeSats. The partnership aims to support radiation measurement and launch biotechnology payloads, as well as space-harden medical chipsets used in orbit. Data collected will be transmitted to Microsoft Orbital ground stations and integrated with datasets from NASA GeneLab and other sources for AI-driven analysis.

Vector Space Biosciences (SBIO) plans its first satellite launch in early to mid-2025, potentially carrying 50 Waterbears (Tardigrades) and Advacam's Timepix2 radiation detectors. This mission will assess radiation impacts on AI semiconductors and other chipsets. Advacam and VSB intend to increase the frequency of launches to 2-3 per week, with each carrying multiple payloads and CubeSats. Customers and partners, including leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies like Merck and Bristol Myers, may sponsor these launches, generating high-value data to be processed through AI models for insights into drug development and new discoveries.

The LOI outlines several key areas for collaboration between Advacam and Vector Space Biosciences:

1. Revenue-sharing opportunities for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and AI semiconductor clients using Advacam's MiniPix Sprinter (Timepix2) to capture and analyze space radiation data, including Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) and High-Z Energy particles (HZEs).

2. Deployment of payloads into Low Earth Orbit (LEO), following the ISS orbit for precision in radiation measurements.

3. Establishment of flight heritage logs for Advacam.

4. Testing devices in vacuum conditions within LEO.

5. Joint marketing efforts and customer referrals.

6. Advanced AI modeling to analyze GCRs and HZE particles, with precise data snapshots.

7. Expansion of AI-based services for customers, leveraging data from CubeSat missions and Vector Space Biosciences' experience, including work at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
