NASA invites the public to join virtual activities and events leading up to the launch of Northrop Grumman's 21st commercial resupply services mission to the International Space Station. The launch is scheduled for 8:31 p.m. EDT on Friday, Aug. 10, 2024, from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia.
The public can register to virtually attend the launch. NASA's virtual guest program for this mission offers curated launch resources, notifications about interaction opportunities, and a virtual guest passport stamp after a successful launch.
Northrop Grumman's Cygnus spacecraft, carried by an Antares rocket, will deliver over 8,200 pounds of science, research, supplies, and hardware to the space station to support Expedition 69 astronauts and their work.
This Cygnus spacecraft is named the S.S. Laurel Clark, honoring the late NASA astronaut who sacrificed her life for the space program. Clark served as a mission specialist on space shuttle Columbia's STS-107 mission.
Registration for the virtual guest program is free and open to the public. To participate, sign up here.
As NASA prepares for this resupply mission, the agency continues to support commercial space providers and international partners in delivering vital science, research, and supplies to the International Space Station.
