RuggON, a leading provider of rugged computing solutions, has unveiled the Iridium Connected VORTEX, a robust Vehicle-Mounted Computer (VMC) designed for seamless global connectivity. Equipped with a specialized antenna and an integrated satellite-communications module, the Vortex ensures reliable data and message exchange even in the most isolated locations, beyond the reach of conventional 5G and Wi-Fi signals.

The Vortex is a compact and durable VMC with a 7-inch screen, engineered to withstand harsh conditions while fitting neatly on any vehicle dashboard. This all-in-one system, powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, offers robust computing and satellite communication capabilities, making it ideal for vehicle crews operating in remote and severe environments.

RuggON will showcase the rugged Iridium Connected Vortex VMC at upcoming trade shows, including MINExpo in Las Vegas (September 24-26) and IMARC in Sydney (October 29-31).

Designed for demanding sectors such as mining, maritime, aviation, government, industrials, energy (oil and gas), transportation, and agriculture, the Vortex is also perfect for scientists and explorers needing reliable connectivity in the world's most remote areas.

"RuggON is proud to bring such a unique and versatile VMC to the market. If our users move out of range of 5G and WiFi services, they can still connect via Iridium's global satellite network, which covers every corner of the planet, including the North and South Poles," said Sean Lee, vice president of RuggON. "On top of that, the Vortex is ruggedized to withstand extreme temperatures, dust, rain, shocks, vibration, and more. It really offers extreme connectivity in extreme environments."

RuggON's Iridium Connected Vortex VMC - Overview:

The Vortex is a ruggedized VMC designed to excel in extreme environments, serving industries such as mining, maritime, aviation, government, industrials, energy (oil and gas), transportation, and agriculture.
