Sidus Space (NASDAQ: SIDU), a Space and Data-as-a-Service satellite company, has successfully delivered two electronic LCS cabinets to Bechtel as part of NASA's mobile launcher 2 project. These cabinets are essential to the Launch Control System and signify a major milestone in Sidus Space's involvement in NASA's Artemis Campaign, which focuses on lunar exploration and colonization. Sidus Space is also continuing production on additional cabinets under a separate purchase order, reinforcing its ongoing support for future missions.
The delivery of these electronic LCS cabinets highlights Sidus Space's dedication to excellence in aerospace technology. Sidus has worked closely with Bechtel to develop custom cables and populate unique electronics cabinets that support both the launch control subsystem and ground special power subsystems.
Mobile launcher 2 is a pivotal ground platform structure for launching Space Launch System (SLS) rockets Block 1B and Block 2 configurations. These larger, more powerful configurations are central to NASA's objective of sending astronauts and heavy cargo to the moon as part of the Artemis Campaign.
