QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), specializing in embedded FPGA (eFPGA) IP, ruggedized FPGAs, and Endpoint AI/ML solutions, has forged a strategic partnership with Zero-Error Systems America (ZES), renowned for its radiation-hardened-by-design (RHBD) semiconductor solutions and intellectual property (IP). This alliance is set to develop radiation-tolerant eFPGA IP tailored for the burgeoning commercial space sector, specifically aimed at ASICs and SoCs demanding unparalleled reliability in harsh flight and outer space conditions.

The burgeoning Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite market, poised to escalate from $12.6 billion in 2023 to $19.8 billion by 2026, reflects a compound annual growth rate of 15.5%, as reported by MarketsandMarkets. This growth trajectory is fueled by the escalating demand for LEO satellite constellation services coupled with cost-effective launch services. Amidst this expansion, the necessity for reprogrammable hardware that minimizes Size, Weight, and Power (SWAP) has never been more critical, particularly as conventional eFPGA IPs falter in meeting the stringent requirements of radiation-prone space missions.
