Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has secured a contract worth $444 million to assist in the Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization, and Modification (DTAMM) for the U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command and Space Launch Deltas (SLDs) 30 and 45.

David Ray, Executive Vice President of the Space and Intelligence Business Group at SAIC, remarked on the significance of this ongoing collaboration with the Space Force, emphasizing its crucial role in propelling space exploration, enhancing resilience, and ensuring crew safety. With a focus on the modernization of spaceports in Florida, California, and nationwide, SAIC aims to boost the efficiency and capabilities of these critical infrastructures.

The contract entails the enhancement of space launch range instrumentation to facilitate a higher frequency of national launches, spanning both the Eastern and Western Ranges. This includes key sites such as the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Patrick Space Force Base in Florida, as well as the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. SAIC and its industry partners are set to revamp outdated instrumentation and processes, fostering a more cohesive and efficient launch operation framework.

SAIC's role in advancing national space ambitions extends beyond DTAMM, encompassing the development of future unmanned spacecraft, the gathering of crucial earth science data through satellites, and the advancement of space-ground systems critical for military joint all-domain command and control efforts.
