Lynk Global, Inc. has added two satellites to its network, launched via the SpaceX Transporter-10 rideshare mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base on March 4. This development is part of Lynk's strategy to offer satellite communication directly to mobile phones around the globe.

Lynk's technology enables direct satellite communication with standard, unmodified mobile phones. "These satellite launches are crucial in our mission to provide global Sat2Phone communication services. With each new satellite, our network becomes more robust and our service reach expands," Tyghe Speidel, Lynk CTO and co-founder, stated. He also noted that the latest satellites introduce improvements and capabilities that enhance the overall system efficiency and reduce costs through rapid technological updates.

This patented and commercially licensed system allows users to send and receive text messages directly to and from space on their usual mobile devices. Lynk's service has undergone testing on every continent, received regulatory approval in over 30 countries, and is operational under more than 40 commercial service contracts with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), covering roughly 50 countries.

Currently, Lynk offers cell broadcast alerts and two-way SMS messaging services, with plans to extend into voice and mobile broadband services. This expansion will not only broaden Lynk's service offerings but also provide mobile network operators access to new markets, ensuring constant connectivity for subscribers and contributing to economic growth in underserved regions.

With the latest satellite launches, Lynk aims to increase its operational capabilities, enhancing mobile connectivity for its network of over 40 mobile network operator partners globally. As the sole recipient of a commercial license from the Federal Communications Commission for Sat2Phone services, Lynk stands as a key player in the telecom industry, offering unique connectivity solutions to its worldwide customer base.
