In a significant expansion of its technological frontiers, Reticulate Micro, Inc. has announced the establishment of Reticulate Space, a new business segment aimed at revolutionizing multi-orbit satellite communications management. This move marks a strategic enhancement for the company, focusing on defense and a select range of commercial opportunities.

Reticulate Space's Strategic Market Focus
Reticulate Space is set to cater to an eclectic mix of clients, including first responders, broadcasters, and providers of in-flight connectivity and mobility. This initiative signifies a deliberate shift in Reticulate Micro's market approach, targeting areas where resilient communication is paramount.

Joshua Cryer, President and CEO of Reticulate Micro, emphasized the importance of this launch. "Launching Reticulate Space greatly expands the addressable market for our products. This was a strategic decision for our company to move up the value chain in our core market of resilient communications," he remarked. This expansion is not just about broadening the company's horizons but also about deepening its technological footprint.

Technology Integration and Expertise
A notable aspect of Reticulate Space is its integration of Reticulate Micro's open-source architecture approach. Additionally, the division is integrating the company's proprietary VAST video compression technology, suggesting a focus on efficient data management in satellite transmissions.

The leadership roster for Reticulate Space is particularly noteworthy, featuring industry veterans with decades of experience. David Horton, previously the Chief Operating Officer at Reticulate Micro, will lead Reticulate Space as its President. Horton's extensive background, including roles at EMS Technologies Defense and Space (part of Honeywell), Panasonic Avionics Corp., TECOM Industries (Smiths PLC), and Lockheed Martin, positions him uniquely to steer Reticulate Space's trajectory.

Mark Steel, a 35-year veteran of the communications and satellite industry, will serve as Executive Vice President, Product and Services for Reticulate Micro and Chief Technology Officer of Reticulate Space. His tenure at Inmarsat, now part of Viasat, and his role in establishing the type approval function for Inmarsat's Global Xpress broadband network, underscores his expertise in the field.

Paul Scardino rounds out the team as Executive Vice President, Sales for Reticulate Micro and Chief Strategy Officer for Reticulate Space. With a rich history at Comtech, L3Harris Technologies, Speedcast, and Globecomm Systems, Scardino brings a wealth of experience across sales, product development, program management, and business strategy.
