HyPrSpace, in collaboration with Telespazio France and CT Ingenierie, has recently secured a significant funding boost of euro 35 million for the Agile Space Access Development Project #1 (PADA1). This project, part of the France 2030 initiative, focuses on the development of innovative space access solutions, marking a significant step in the nation's space industry.

The PADA1 consortium, led by HyPrSpace, aims to finalize the detailed design of the OB-1 rocket. This effort includes the first flight of Baguette One, a suborbital demonstration rocket. Baguette One is set to showcase HyPrSpace's novel hybrid propulsion technology, a key differentiator in the competitive space sector.

HyPrSpace's hybrid propulsion technology, developed under the France2030 micro-launcher call for tenders, promises to revolutionize space access. By offering a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution, the technology aligns with the growing demand for sustainable space operations. The planned launch of the orbital and sub-orbital vehicle using this technology is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.

Telespazio France, leveraging its extensive experience in ground infrastructure maintenance and operation, will play a crucial role in this endeavor. The company, known for its operations in Kourou, will develop a comprehensive service offer. This service, focusing on end-to-end operations from launcher factory release to payload orbiting, is designed to meet the unique needs of micro-launchers. Telespazio France's expertise in Ground Segment and Operations, honed through ESA and CNES contracts, will be instrumental in the operational management of the Baguette One launch.

CT Ingenierie brings to the table its 35-year expertise in launcher system design and optimization. The company will apply its advanced multi-physics models and software to the engineering and design of the OB-1 and Baguette One launchers. This contribution is critical, especially given the tight timelines and evolving market demands for space access.

The PADA1 project has three key objectives: to provide sovereign and sustainable access to space for small satellites, to innovate with ecological and competitive propulsion technology, and to enhance French competitiveness in the mini and micro-launcher sector.

Alexandre MANGEOT, CEO of HyPrSpace, expressed the consortium's enthusiasm, stating, "The recognition of our PADA1 project by the France 2030 program confirms the transformative potential of our hybrid technology for the space industry. We are honored and energized by this opportunity, and we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure France a leading position in the future space economy."

Corinne MAILLES, Deputy General Manager of Telespazio France, highlighted the project's alignment with their strategy to become a launch operator for micro-mini launchers, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and accessibility in launch operations.

David PRIETO, CEO of CT Group, also expressed satisfaction with CT's participation in the PADA1 consortium. He emphasized the dedication and expertise that CT's engineers and experts will contribute to the success of this innovative project.
