SpaceX sent up 23 Starlink satellites during a mission from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS). Liftoff from Launch Complex 40 (LC-40) occurred at 12:07 a.m. EST (0507 UTC) on SpaceX's 90th orbital mission of 2023.

This mission marks the 125th operational Starlink mission, with Starlink Group 6-33 bringing the total number of launched Starlink satellites to 5,559, with more than 5,187 Starlink satellites currently in orbit.

The Falcon 9 booster supporting this mission was B1077. Having previously supported Crew-5, GPS III SV06, Inmarsat I-6, CRS-28, Galaxy 37, and three Starlink missions, the booster flew and landed for the ninth time.

Eight and a half minutes after liftoff, the booster successfully landed on the drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas (ASOG), stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

With tonight's mission, SpaceX has hit a milestone, they are now only 10 launches away from the ambitious goal SpaceX's founder and CEO, Elon Musk, set to have 100 orbital flights in 2023.

The previous record was set in 2022 with 61 launches by the company, which they surpassed on September 23rd of this year. It's the highest number achieved by a single commercial launch company in a calendar year.
