Rogue Space Systems Corporation, a pioneer in satellite servicing technologies, has proudly announced the triumphant launch, deployment, and operational startup of its inaugural satellite, Barry-1.
Since its launch on November 11th, the satellite has maintained stable communications and control, transitioning smoothly into the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP), set to extend into December. Rogue is gearing up for payload testing, which includes the innovative Rogue Scalable Compute Platform (SCP) and the IVO Quantum drives, a groundbreaking step in commercially viable pure electric propulsion technology.
Jon Beam, the Chief Operating Officer, commended the Mission Operations team for their remarkable efficiency and nimbleness, moving ahead of schedule to fulfill primary mission goals by the end of the year. Brent Abbott, the Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized the team's dual achievement in commissioning Barry-1 and securing a new commercial on-orbit services contract.
Barry-1 is scheduled for operation until 2025, with a focus on augmenting space heritage and providing support to hosted payload clients. Rogue's forthcoming venture, Laura-1, expected to launch in early 2025, is set to showcase their autonomous Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO) systems, marking another milestone in the company's innovative journey. ??
