The event will open with welcome messages from the ESA Director General, along with ESA Directors of both the Earth Observation Programme and Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness.
11:00-12:40 CET – The EO Worldwide Market
This includes a discussion on the market status and trends, with contributions from ESA, trade organisations and key experts.
14:00-15:45 CET – EO commercialisation and New Space at ESA
This session will demonstrate how ESA is both stimulating and taking advantage of the EO commercial industry and New Space approaches to business.
16:15-17:15 CET – ESA Gold Cases
An industry presentation of examples that represent European successes in EO commercialisation and New Space.
17:15-17:35 CET – The CommEO Award
Innovative and promising EO start-ups will pitch their business ideas and compete for the ESA CommEO Award.
Tuesday 31 October
09:05-10:30 – The EO Investors perspective
This session will address the private and public investor perspective, with input from VCs, EIB and Business. The ESA investor platform will be presented.
11:00-11:30 – Commercial EO opportunities from Future Connectivity and EO
This panel will provide an overview of what is coming next for the IoT4EO connectivity, the regulatory environment, real time tasking value chain and analyse their impact of the EO sector as a whole. The session will also refer to the outcomes of the ESA start-up incubation programme.
11:30-12:55 – Towards European leadership of the global EO commercial market
In this panel discussion, representatives from the European Commission, ESA, ESA Member State Delegates, industry and investors will address the question: how do we stimulate consistent growth in Europe to become the worldwide EO commercial leader?’
12:55-13:00 – Concluding remarks
