China performs two launches inside two hours

A 41-meter-long white Long March 2D rocket rises from its launch tower at hill-surrounded Xichang launch center. Mach diamonds form in the exhaust while plumes of white smoke billow away from the path of the rocket.

China conducted its 36th and 37th orbital launches of 2022 within a couple of hours of each other starting late Monday, using the Jiuquan and Xichang spaceports.
