The European Space Agency (ESA) invites members of the space community to attend a virtual Industry Information Day on the 13th May 2022 from 9 AM - 16:10 PM.
With the virtual Industry Information Day, we want to inform European space actors about our plans for the Council Ministerial 2022 with respect to the Earth Observation Programmes and respective opportunities for industry.
Key elements will include:
The Earth Watch Programme “TRUTHS” an operational climate mission (Status quo and upcoming opportunities)
The Envelope Programme “FutureEO-1 Segment 2” - “Foundations and Concepts”:
- Generic preparation of future and Instrument Pre-development
- Earth Explorer – an overview of our future plans and how to “boost” the future missions (in focus: EE-11and EE-12)
- Operational missions – early phases
- Prepare Copernicus Sentinel Next Generation missions
- Prepare Meteosat Fourth Generation and MetOp Third Generation missions
The Envelope Programme “FutureEO-1 Segment 2” - “Research Mission Implementation”:
- Earth Explorer 10 “Harmony”
- NGGM/Magic (Mission of Opportunity)
- Our plans for the 2nd Scout challenge and their implementation
