Exotrail signed a license contract with Thales Alenia Space for ExoOPS, its simulation and operation software dedicated to space mobility. Exotrail signed a license contract with Thales Alenia Space for ExoOPS, its simulation and operation software dedicated to space mobility.

Thales Alenia Space, Joint Venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), becomes a customer of ExoOPS - Mission Design. Thales Alenia Space and Exotrail signed the contract in January. ExoOPS - Mission Design is Exotrail's simulation and mission design environment commercialized as part of the ExoOPS software suite.

Accessible as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), ExoOPS-Mission Design is a simulation environment built on Exotrail unique in-house flight dynamics and object-oriented core, ExoOPS-Engine. On top of ExoOPS-Engine, ExoOPS-Mission Design aggregates simulation and design functional modules allowing to run quick scenarios for constellation design, generation, and optimization; parametric studies on mission performance for given satellite parameters or complete satellite simulation performances for a given mission.

Thanks to ExoOPS-Mission Design Thales Alenia Space's Navigation and IoT bid and advanced projects team will benefit from:

collaborative and cross-functional teamwork capabilities for simulation scenarios and result sharing. powerful though user-friendly space mission simulation capabilities.

Interfacing capabilities to already existing external software through import/export functionalities for data exchange in multiple formats. friendly and intuitive graphical user interfaces allowing a quick software onboarding.

On this occasion, David HENRI, Exotrail's Chairman and CEO comments: "We are thrilled to welcome Thales Alenia Space onboard ExoOPS-Mission Design. Convincing one of the worldwide satellite industry leaders is a true recognition of our product development strategy aiming to position ExoOPS as a leading orbital mechanics tool supporting deployment of complex mission from very early design phase to in-orbit operation".

After being commercialised in spring 2020, ExoOPS has seen a rising commercial success. Thales Alenia Space is the latest addition to the list of many customers that includes also CNES or Eutelsat.
