EGNOS System Performance Engineer
You will be responsible for following and managing the industrial work packages for the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) V2 and V3 performance and for contributing to mission development. You will ensure the consistency of EGNOS system performance specifications, compliance and qualification. You will also contribute to the dissemination of the results of our activities and knowledge transfer across ESA and externally. To apply, you will need a relevant background in satellite navigation systems and experience in laboratory field testing. You should also have experience in the preparation of procurement activities for technology development and innovation.

Galileo System Security Engineer
This position supports the key security management facilities of the ground mission segment. This will include responsibilities such as maintaining the requirements of the key management functions at system and segment level, as well as contributing to the design and development of new system security facilities for Galileo, to support its service evolution.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience with complex secure systems, and an extensive background in satellite navigation principles and related security architecture.

Head of the Galileo Space Segment Product Assurance Unit
The successful candidate will establish and maintain the project product assurance and safety requirements baseline for the Galileo first and second generation space segment in compliance with the overall ESA product assurance and safety policy. You will also support security activities for the Galileo space segment.
To apply, you should have experience in the management of product assurance for a large project, and the application of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) tools and methods. Experience in supporting ESA programmes/projects and procurement processes is also a prerequisite.

Galileo G2 Ground Segment Security Engineer
You will be responsible for overall activities related to ground segment security engineering for the Galileo second generation, including the definition and consolidation of requirements, as well as their verification, validation, qualification and certification. You will establish and coordinate activities within the programme and with industrial consortia, and liaise within ESA and with external entities in the development of your duties.
You should hold in-depth knowledge of GNSS systems and experience in system and security engineering, with a focus on ground segment. Knowledge and experience in managing industrial contracts is also required.

About the Galileo Programme at ESA
Galileo is Europe’s Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS), providing improved positioning and timing information to almost two billion users across the world.
Our team at the European Space Agency’s technology centre in the Netherlands is in charge of the design, development, procurement, integration and qualification of the Galileo system, including the constellation of satellites in medium-Earth orbit and the ground segment for mission control and security monitoring deployed at remote sites all over the world. We supervise the development of the different releases of the ground segment to deploy them in the operational Galileo control centres and ground stations. We also perform the development, assembly, integration and testing of the Galileo satellites and the associated launch campaigns and in-orbit testing.
