Building a 6-mile-wide (10-kilometer-wide) telescope in space may sound like science fiction. But through the combined power of six toaster-size satellites, that's what NASA's SunRISE will be: a huge radio telescope in orbit that will help deepen scientists' understanding of explosive space weather events.

China has received data from its newly launched terrestrial ecosystem carbon monitoring satellite, scientists in charge of receiving the satellite data said.
The satellite was carried into space on Thursday by a Long March-4B rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in North China's Shanxi province.
Since Thursday night, ground stations located in Beijing and Xinjiang Uygur au

Iran said Sunday it will control "from day one" a satellite due to be launched by Russia within days, rejecting reports that it will intially serve Moscow in its war in Ukraine.
