AIM (Action Items Manager)

Write a comment

AIM (Action Items Manager) is a web-based application that allows the creation, allocation, monitoring and tracking of Action Items (AIs) and their associated information across small and large project teams alike. Each Action Item (AI) can be allocated to an Actionee and multiple Contributors, who can access and contribute to the Action Items progress, completion and closure via the web, in accordance to security permissions. Each AI enables all those involved to collaborate via a thread-based discussion capability which enables additional information to be provided in the form of video, images or documentation attachments.

As an added value, AIM functions as project actions dashboard, as it monitors and reports on all the workflow actions created by other ECLIPSE suite modules (Document Configuration & Change Management, Review Items of Discrepancy and EEE applications). The AIM application provides its users with a centralised and global access point to all existing actions within a specific project environment.

The AIM application is used by several mission and project teams at the European Space Agency (ESA).

Core Features

  • ECSS Compliance
  • Email notifications and reminders
  • Workflow enabled Action Item Management
  • Action discussion thread
  • Automatic record retention
  • Web-based action item (AI) management
  • Interface with other applications
  • Management of Action Items Lists
  • Multi attachments and files capability

RID (Review Items of Discrepancy)

Write a comment

The RID (Review Items of Discrepancy) is the only ESA-proven web-based application that supports space project and mission teams through the preparation, set-up, management and control of formal project and mission reviews (in full compliance to ECSS Standards).

The RID application provides the means for project review participants to access deliverable data packs, contractual or technical baselines as well as requirements documentation via the web. Once securely logged-in participants can fill-in electronically RID forms according the ECSS standards, format and workflow.

The RID application over the last five years has proved particularly beneficial to mid and large sized organisations enabling geographically dispersed multinational teams to collaborate during specific project reviews for RIDs generation, as well during RIDs and actions resolution and closure.

The RID System is currently used by ESA and various industrial partners during formal reviews through the whole lifecycle of space missions as well as for smaller projects and milestones check points during feasibility studies.

Core Features

  • Review Item Discrepancy Life Cycle Management
  • Actions Management
  • Electronic RID forms
  • Web-Based
  • ECSS Compliance
  • Data pack documentation access
  • Baselines Management
  • Collaborative
  • Automatic Record Tracking

The DCCM (Document Configuration and Change Management) application is the only ESA-proven document management system designed for the space sector, which naturally provides its users with an easy path to ECSS standards compliance. The DCCM (secure) collaborative environment offers benefits to the small SMEs projects as well as to multinational Space Agency based “Flagship” Missions (such as those of the ESA).

In the space sector a great deal of documentation is created and exchanged between the many actors participating to any given project or mission. Managing and maintaining a high level of configuration and control over such documentation (and its traffic/exchange) is a challenge, that if not properly addressed, can result in severe project problems if not failures.

DCCM is a web-based application that supports document configuration, review and approval cyclse as well as change management of any document in a project. Moreover, it records the document’s entire evolution (i.e. creation, modification and distribution) throughout its lifecycle.

DCCM is part of the ECLIPSE software suite which is used by the European Space Agency as well its industrial partners.

Core Features

  • ECSS Compliance
  • Document Configuration
  • Document Versioning
  • Generation of CIDL, CSAR, CISL reports
  • Customisable metadata
  • Document Management System
  • Document Control
  • Web Based
  • Management of documentation Applicability
  • Document Workflow Management
